What is the DQ200 (0AM)?
The DQ200 is the Volkswagen Group 7-speed direct-shift gearbox (DSG) with two dry clutches. It is built for small and mid-size engines up to about 250 Nm and has been fitted since 2008 to many VW, Audi, Skoda and Seat models.
Early gearboxes carry the code 0AM. From 2013 the revised version is coded 0CW. Shifting and clutch control are handled by the mechatronic unit, which combines the valve body, the transmission control unit (TCU), an electric hydraulic pump and a pressure accumulator.

DQ200 questions
01Do I need a mechatronic unit or only the TCU?
If the fault is electrical (communication errors, intermittent warning lights), the TCU is often enough. If the gearbox cannot build hydraulic pressure (P189C, P1895, no drive), the problem is usually in the valve body or accumulator and the complete mechatronic unit is the safer repair. Send us the fault codes and we will advise.
02How do I find the right part number?
Read the number on the label of the old mechatronic unit or TCU (for example 0AM927769D), or send us the gearbox code and the VIN. 0AM and 0CW versions are not always interchangeable, so we confirm before you pay.
03Is adaptation needed after replacement?
Yes. After fitting a mechatronic unit or clutch, the gearbox needs basic settings (adaptation) with a diagnostic tool such as ODIS or VCDS. Clutch replacement also needs the correct shims and special tools.
04What is the minimum order and warranty?
One piece. Warranty is 3 to 12 months depending on the part and condition, and is written on your quotation. Every unit is tested before shipment.
05Do you ship worldwide?
